I recently picked up the M5 MacBook Air (13-inch), and I’ve been genuinely impressed by how fast it is every single day.
The M5 MacBook Air comes bundled with the 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max. Among Apple’s accessories, this one doesn’t get much attention in the gadget community — but after actually getting my hands on it, I was surprised. The build quality is excellent, it’s impressively compact, and the performance is solid. Honestly, I think this might be a seriously underrated product.
Plenty of companies sell compact chargers rated up to 60W max output, but the premium feel you get from this one is unmistakably Apple.
With third-party chargers, it’s not unusual for the unit to get uncomfortably hot during charging. The 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max uses a “Dynamic” design that automatically throttles output to protect the unit — so it never gets worryingly hot while in use.
Personally, I like it so much that I’m thinking about buying a second one.
